What: “Newbie On-Location Photography Workshop" is a full-day, 8-hour on location workshop specifically designed for the beginner photographer to learn how to take better portraits outdoors
When: Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 9 AM to 5 PM
Where: Depends on the weather condition, it will be either in the San Gabriel Mountains or at a local park.

Cost: The class is limited to 8 students and the cost is $229/person. "Buddy Discount" of $199/person available if you register the workshop with a buddy. We strongly recommend you to register for the workshop as early as possible due to the limited spaces in this workshop. Drinks, model and model releases will be provided.
Prerequisites: Students need to have a clear understanding of exposure and the inner workings of their DSLR cameras. Students should be able to make a properly exposed photo in the Manual mode of their cameras and have some basic knowledge how to use the on camera flash (pop-up or attached dedicated flash).
Specifics: A model will be provided for the workshop. Bring your DSLR camera gear and a PocketWizards (any model as long as it can transmit. You can rent it from Calumet or Samy’s Camera Store. You can also rent (reserve) a PocketWizards from us for $10 if you wish). You will have plenty of time to shoot and obtain images for your portfolio.
Cancellation Policy: Full-refund two-week prior to the start of the class. If you need to cancel after two-week prior, a credit will be issued toward the next class.
Details: This is a full day (8-hour) Newbie On-Location Photography Workshop specifically designed for new photographers who are proficient in shooting in manual setting of their DSLRs and wants to improve their portraits outdoors. There will be a live model for the workshop and students will have plenty of chances working with the model at a scenic location. The goal for the workshop is to help students to improve their photography skills in variety of outdoor conditions. The following are the specific objectives for the workshop:
* Learn to Analyze any Location
* Learn how to Select the Best Background
* Learn how to work with people and use simple posing techniques
* Learn how to working with ambient light and portable lighting
* Learn how and when to use on-camera flash (pop-up or dedicated flash)
* Learn how to shoot in the Sun and Shades
* Improve Composition

On location private seminars/workshops available at $150/hour with a minimal of three hours
