Yosemite Landscape Photography-On July 16, 2013, I was invited to join my friends, Eva and Alan, on their annual Yosemite camping trip. The last time I was in Yosemite was several decades ago so I was eager and looking forward to the trip.
Besides the camping and hiking, I plan to do as much landscape photography as possible. One of the main elements of great landscape photography is lighting. Which means not only the right time of the day to shoot a particular scene, also include the proper season for that location as well. I saw many breath taking scenes, unfortunately, most of them did not have proper lighting at the time of my visit. Now I am a bit more familiar with the various photo opportunities, I will try to plan the next trip other than middle of summer.
On one of our swimming sessions at Merced River, we were very fortunate to spot this black bear swimming across the way. These photos were taken with my Nikon AW100 point and shoot camera.
